Every Family Has A Story….
No two families are exactly alike. But after decades of helping people navigate their financial lives, we’ve found that many share the same questions, concerns, and hopes for the future.
Meet one family whose story may feel a little familiar.
Meet Steve & Amy
Steve is 63. Amy is 59.
They’ve worked hard, raised a family, built successful careers, and made good financial decisions along the way. Life is good—but lately, the conversations have started to change.
Steve is thinking about retirement. Amy still enjoys working. Together, they’re wondering what the next chapter should look like.
They want to travel, spend more time with family, and enjoy what they’ve built—with confidence that they’re making the right decisions.
But their story isn’t just about them. It’s about their children, grandchildren, aging parents, and the people they care about most.
As you meet their family, you may recognize a little of your own story in theirs.
Meet the kids… Michael & Sarah
Michael is 30, married, and raising a young family of his own.
Steve and Amy love being grandparents and want to help Michael and his family when they can—whether that means helping with their grandchildren’s education, creating experiences together, or simply making life a little easier.
They want to enjoy seeing their success today, while still protecting their own future.
Sarah is 27, single, and building a life of her own in Colorado.
She’s independent and adventurous, but Steve and Amy sometimes worry about her financial decisions. They want to be there for her without doing too much—and they wonder how to someday leave her an inheritance in a way that will truly help.
For Steve and Amy, taking care of family doesn’t always mean treating everyone the same.
Meet Steve’s Parents
Steve’s parents have always been independent, but they’re getting older—and lately, they need more help.
Steve finds himself increasingly involved in decisions about their health, their home, and their finances. He wants to make sure they’re cared for, while respecting their independence and wishes.
He’s also helping them stay on top of their financial lives—organizing accounts, understanding their income and expenses, making sure important documents are in place, and helping with decisions that once seemed simple.
Steve wants to know that their finances are organized, their wishes are understood, and that he’ll be prepared when they need him most.
